Winston Churchill
Why did we choose the name Snowblind?
Snow blindness...known scientifically as photokeratitis, which is a much worse name for a gym—is a temporary vision impairment caused by overexposure to UV light reflected off snow or ice. Figuratively “snowblind” is used to refer to the condition of being dazzled or blinded by an overwhelming, uniform brightness or sameness. This is analogous to the confusion experienced by new grapplers on the ground: they don't know which way to move either to protect themselves or to defeat their opponents. With the right education you will in turn learn how to impose that same disorienting effect on your opponents, and leave them lost and adrift as you once were.
